Chexology is Hiring a Remote Full Charge Bookkeeper

- Processing, verifying, and recording all financial transactions
- Generating accounts receivable reports and crafting client invoices
- Ensuring prompt payment of client invoices through bill reminders and communication with clients on overdue accounts
- Producing accounts payable reports, entering vendor invoices, and executing payments
- Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations
- Formulating and meticulously documenting journal entries
- Adjusting inventory quantity on hand
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
- Monitoring cash flow
- Establishing accrual basis and cash basis accounting records in alignment with the business nature
- Conducting intricate financial analysis on new market growth, MRR and ARR of subscriptions, and other special projects
- Providing financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow) along with accompanying footnotes
- Verifying payroll accuracy in QuickBooks post-processing through a third-party payroll system, including meticulous mapping to the appropriate chart of accounts
- Developing accounting policies and procedures in adherence to generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP)
- Daily verbal and written communication with peers, clients, vendors, and banks
- Performing administrative tasks such as data entry, filing paperwork, and overseeing account logins
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Organized, adept at time management, proficient in multitasking, and innovative in problem-solving
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
- Previous experience working at a start-up
- Location: Fully remote with some travel responsibilities (for prospect visits, conferences, occasional company get-togethers, etc.).
